We welcome you to run with us in Finland! The highlight of the Finnish running season is the Paavo Nurmi Marathon.
The marathon is named after the legendary Finnish long distance runner Paavo Nurmi, aka the Flying Finn, and takes place in his hometown, the beautiful city of Turku.
Events: 10 k, Half Marathon, Marathon
Marathon will start at 3 PM outside the Olympic Stadium next to the statue of Mr. Paavo Nurmi (Address: Mäntymäentie, Helsinki).
The runners should be at the start area at 2:45 PM the latest. Select your preferred spot at the start area according to your own expected finishing time. The areas are marked by signs: 2:30, 3:00, 3:30, 4:00 etc.). Make sure you are in good time if you wish to get a good position at the start area.
9:30 - 2 km children's race
9:35 - 5 km, 10 km, 21,1 km
11:00 - 2 km children's race
11:05 - 5 km, 10 km
Entry fee:
2 km children's race: 75 kr.
5/10 km: 150 kr.
21,1 km: 200 kr.
