This is a great event whether you are a novice runner looking to run your first 5k, or a seasoned competitor looking to beat your personal best time. Runners and walkers of all abilities are welcome to participate. The course consists of flat roadways and paths that wind through picturesque Krape Park. The race is also part of the Rockford Road Runners circuit. All pre-registered participants will receive an event T-shirt.
Starting in the parking lot near mini golf and the baseball field, along Yellow Creek, past the Krape Park waterfall, and twin caves, over two scenic bridges then out the tree lined south entrance of the park and return. Time splits and water stations on course; refreshments and awards after the race. The course is certified by USA Track and Field (code IL-12088-JW) and recognized by RRCA. Chip timing will be provided by Real Time Inc.

Welcome to the Sprint Solstice 5 k! This is a rolling USATF/CT certified 5K course following the paved Red Trail around the MDC Reservoirs in West Hartford. It features a few climbs, beautiful views and a fast down hill finish. IT is a Run and Run/Walk event.

Boys on the Right Track is a (9) nine week program resulting in increased life and leadership skills appropriate for boys aged 8-13 and of varying physical abilities. This program is led by Juliet L. Meade, who is a trained educator and athletic coach. Learning from our community there was a great need for a running program for boys, she began to develop a curriculum targeted towards the specific needs of developing boys and their families. Using her educational background and professional experience, Mrs. Meade mixes physical exercise with team building activities and personal leadership development. She is also a mother of one daughter, and two active boys.
